The first quarter of your life is dedicated to learning. However, the subjects that you are taught in school don't necessarily aid in your earning potential. Depending on your profession, it is very likely that most of your coursework in high school and/or college doesn't even closely pertain to what you do now. This is unfortunate. More unfortunate it is because most people do not continue their learning outside of their profession. They go to work, do their job and fail to continue to learn near as much as they should. It is also unfortunate that people work their whole lives for money, yet really do not know anything about it. They remain clueless as to how it works and how to use it, but … they think they know. How many people have studied money? Not many. They do not know how to keep money and make it work for them—they just know how to spend it. This is partly why the majority of the American population is in debt.Learn to earn. Educate yourself on money. Accounting, finance and economics are all good topics. They are not boring subjects if you really want to learn. There are great books that are easy to understand and will get the general concepts across. The first lesson is to learn how to make, keep and invest money. It is important to learn how to use money to your advantage first and foremost. This is why these subjects are a great place to start. The second lesson is important for much more than earning money and becoming wealthy. It is important for all aspects of your life—success. Having the right mentality—a successful mentality—to accomplish anything that you want to do is priceless. Many people do not have this mentality and go through life feeling somewhat unfulfilled.Obtaining a successful mentality is a tough thing to do. It requires constant exposure to people and/or material that will help you obtain that mentality. Success University is there for me, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience thus far.Need some specific advice? Listed are a few books that will get you started in the right direction:The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. ClasonThink and Grow Rich by Napoleon HillRich Dad Poor Dad by Robert KiyosakiArticle by Erik Nitsu. For more information about Success University, visit http://affluence.successuniversity.com/
