No Child Left Behind; Give it a boost with E-Gov Live

Author : Lance Winslow
If no child is to be left behind and we are serious about education then perhaps we need to pay attention to what we teach, teach the truth and have that closest representation of relative truth easily available for all. How can this be done to insure the closest possible relative truth is allowed to flow to increase thought and increase thinking without brain washing or simple memorization? We can put the information in archived bite size lessons on the Internet. Here are the reasons for my theory of Internet archived knowledge, we can use Virtual Reality and visuals such as those often seen on the Discovery Channel. Online learning goes well with the theories and reasoning behind the "No Child Left Behind" Act. Bite size information studies of all areas of human knowledge mean a child at home sick can be learning online. A far removed rural student can make up work when weather is bad and the buses are not running. A student expelled from school for behavioral reasons will not lose out because they went through a new learning phase of their human development. Many colleges and telecommuter students are already doing this for instance; this is already being done at the University of Phoenix.http://www.carwashguys.com/0030203_1.shtmlThe University of Phoenix has also put their Gen-Ed classes online, which teaches graduating seniors who will be attending classes there to rethink how they learn? Interesting that they need to re-teach young adults how to learn in order to teach them; this means that something has gone terribly wrong with the system. If this is the case shouldn't the grade, middle and High Schools be catching onto this too? And after such classes and online content, we must realize that which is memorized needs to be memorized correctly and take into account the way the brain learns? One way to get the proper information into the schools of this present period so that no child is left behind may be to put the content on the DVDs, integrate it into the TV set and backed up on the Internet at E-Gov, but of course it is not the only way or be all, end all. With this done and with every individual and school allowed to access it, you will have increased the flow of thought and until now we could not do this because of the digital divide, well that wall was torn down, it no longer exists. Creating a seamless information flow for education while still keeping the schooling local, thus without disrupting the system. Think about it.Lance Winslow - Online Think Tank forum board.
